Tanium Health Checks

A structured review of your Tanium environment to identify client-health problems, infrastructure bottlenecks, configuration drift, content issues, and operational practices that are working against the platform.

A Tanium environment can appear healthy while still carrying years of accumulated problems: clients that check in but cannot reliably execute work, content that has outlived its purpose, server resources under pressure, poorly scoped actions, or operational processes that make failures difficult to see.

A health check looks beyond whether the console is green.

I review the platform from the endpoint inward: client communication and execution, infrastructure and server performance, configuration, content, action history, module behavior, and the operating practices surrounding the environment.

The result is a prioritized view of what is healthy, what needs attention, and what is worth fixing first.

What We Offer

Client Health & Coverage

Determine whether endpoints are merely reporting in or are actually capable of doing useful work.

Review client status, communication patterns, version consistency, registration and identity problems, stale or unhealthy endpoints, sensor execution, action responsiveness, and other conditions that affect confidence in the data Tanium reports.

Infrastructure & Performance

Review the systems that support the platform for capacity, topology, and configuration issues.

That can include server health, zone and network design, resource utilization, service behavior, throughput, and other factors that affect how reliably Tanium operates at scale.

Content & Configuration Review

Identify configuration and content that has accumulated without a clear purpose or no longer reflects how the environment operates.

Review sensors, packages, saved questions, computer groups, actions, module configuration, schedules, and related content for duplication, stale dependencies, excessive scope, or opportunities to simplify.

Operational Review

Look at how Tanium is actually being used.

Action history, recurring failures, deployment practices, administrative patterns, patch behavior, and other operational data often reveal problems that are not obvious from configuration alone.

Findings You Can Act On

A health check should not end with a long report containing fifty observations of equal importance.

Findings are organized by impact and priority so your team can distinguish immediate problems from technical debt and longer-term improvements.

Where appropriate, recommendations include the likely cause, remediation approach, and a way to validate that the change actually solved the problem.

Know What Healthy Looks Like

Whether the environment has been running for years, has recently changed ownership, or simply does not behave as reliably as it should, a health check provides an independent assessment of where things stand and what should happen next.
